And forever started with a simple kiss.

I can't believe that today marks three years of marriage for us. There are so many things that I did not recognize as gifts until now. The first being all of the friends and family that supported us, loved us, showered us with gifts and parties and help during the wedding time.

I never recognized what a wonderful man I was about to marry. I knew you loved me, I knew that would not change, but I don't think that I had a handle on how much. You let me quit my job to pursue my business. You were the sole person that supported me and my dreams. You lifted me up when I was ready to quit, pushed me when I was tired, and cheered for me as my dreams grew into a reality. You still do. I know that will never change. I also know I would not be where I am without you and your courage that poured into my soul.

You help me keep my focus of what is important. God, then family, then careers, then possessions. I am so glad that I married a man with these values, and no one could have a stronger set than you.

You provide for me better than I could have ever asked for. You work hard, earn an honest wage and for what? For our family and those family members that we do not have yet.

I don't know how someone can have an inherent gift of fatherhood, but you know just what to do. Your protection of and love for Georgia is something that I have only seen from my Dad. I can't wait to spend the next years with you molding her into a person that we will be proud to watch and give to the world.

I don't know that I say it often enough and I don't even know what I would convey to let you know how much I love you, admire you, trust in you, and live for you. Thank you for a wonderful three years of marriage. Love is not a strong enough word, but nevertheless, I love you more than you could ever image.

I'm Still Here; Somewhere...

So I have been a little worse than bad at posting lately.  I can't help it.  I have good intentions; however, the time escapes me.  If I could only phone in my blog post from the car while driving to or from the sitter's house or while I am in line and the bank, I know I would do alot better.  That is why I love twitter.  It just takes a second, and now that I am out of circa 1998 and actually have data on my phone, it is really easy to do while waiting in one of the many lines that slowly eat away at our lives.

I try to stay up on things and I count myself as one of the technologically advanced, however, I think that I might also have an old soul.  If you asked Katie, the marketing director at Savant, I am sure that she would agree as she does not have the same taste as I do in "generationally eclectic music."  Last weekend, my bestie, my husband and my Georgia June went camping.  Roaring Springs is not known for their exceptional cell phone towers, and within a few hours of searching for a signal, my phone was dead.  This death put me in heaven.  Sometimes, don't you wish that we could stop telling everyone every move we make, letting them see every picture in our lives, our crying our soul out to a keyboard with the twinkle of a hope that someone likes you enough to bookmark your blog, much less read your post?  No calendar, no phone, no problem.  Just me, my favorite people and a cooler full of ice and beverages that put a smile on our face.

Wow, it was nice to be away from technology.

I just thought that in my one free minute before bed, I would let my feelings escape to my blog.  More tweeting coming soon, facebook pictures to be posted shortly.  Ahhh, technology.  It is a love/hate relationship.

Sweet Georgia June Bug

Georgia, Nick and I went to the Mother's Day Service at First Christian Church with my parents. I photographed the Dedication of the newest little children into the church community and when I came back to my pew to sit with my family, I found a perfect little angel sitting in her pew between Gran and Daddy.

I have had a few requests for more images of Georgia, so here you go. You like them, Jamie? Now it is my turn to see more of your angels!

Happy Birthday, Sweet Georgia June

One year ago today, I welcomed my first sweet baby into the world. What a wonderful day it was! A year later, I can proudly say that she is the happiest, most well mannered baby that I know. Here are a few images from the last year. Happy Birthday Georgia!

Me, one week before she was born and about 50 pounds ago. When I look at this picture, I wonder how I could even walk. There should have been triplets in there!

The day she was born. We were in the hospital. I am sure I was tired, just like everyone said I would be, but i don't remember that. I just remember waiting (and getting very impatient!) for them to bring her to the room after her check up.

Nick, 6 days into being a Daddy. I think that he might be the best one around. We had to hold the boots on her feet and now they don't even fit!

This is probably the picture that, in a few years, she is going to get mad at me for showing. I love this picture because it isn't very often that she cries.

I had to post this one. This was taken sometime last March. Her and Daddy were watching TV and both falling asleep on the couch. I like this one because the remote is in it and you can see how little she was.

Here are two of our favorite people. Georgia loved Brandon and loved to lay on his shoulder! Come back from Iraq soon! Georgia misses you!

Nick's very first Father's Day. Georgia made him breakfast in bed.

Georgia's first real food, other than rice cereal, was green beans from Aunt Brenda and Uncle Shawn's garden.

Helping with Aunt Brenda and Uncle Shawn's Garage Sale.

And here she is; one year old and about to dig into her first taste of sugar. I will post more when I get them ready.

Happy Birthday, Georgia. I love you so much!

Closing for Next Week!

Savant Photography offices will be closed next week. Although Christi will be working everyday, we will not be seeing clients for design consultations or sessions. Christi will be returning phone calls and all e-mails will be answered when I get back to the office.

We will reopen on Tuesday, February 24th at 10 am. Thanks for your patience during the next week.

I hate posting without a picture, and I have been hounded about Georgia June updates, so here are a few images of her with some of my favorite people! Piyavan's friend took these on his camera and was nice enough to send them to me!
Sukalakamala family - I miss you!

The End of an Era

Something very sad happened right before Georgia's first Christmas. My grandmother went to join her husband in heaven. It is very sad, as I am sure most of you know and it just feels like a part of my life is gone with her.

I have decided to spend this time with my family. Therefore, Savant Photography will be closed until January 4. I will be checking my voicemail, but will not be near my calendar or my e-mail for a while.

We will be taking her back to our home town, Ruidoso, New Mexico.

Say a prayer for my family, but before you do that, be sure to give a kiss to all of those that are close to you! What a blessed life we lead when we have people that we love.

Guess what I'm doing today?

I have been hired and given a floor pass to photograph the Texas Tech Graduate School's graduation ceremony. Normally, this might seem boring to you, however, today, the guest speaker is none other than John McCain. I don't care if you share my political views or not, that is pretty darn cool that I get to photograph him up close and personal. My goal is to have my picture taken with him, so we will see how that goes. I am super excited and will keep you all updated!

Merry Christmas to me!

Time is Running Out!

If you would like to place a Christmas order for jewelry, purses, accessories or Forbeyon Albums, time is running out. Call me on Monday to schedule a time to get your order in.

Guys - if you need a quick and easy gift that your mom, spouse or child will love, this would be it!

Girls - Don't worry, I have stuff for the guys in your life as well.

On another note, I have six items that need to be monogrammed. Anyone know of a good person to call?

A Little Update

Georgia and her playgroup went to the pumpkin patch yesterday to take pictures. Here is one of my favorites. These are also doubling as her 7 month portraits. More to come!

Other notes of interest:

*We moved! I love our new house and hopefully I will get a picture up soon.

*Our old home is now my studio. That's right folks, I leave my house to go to work. Office hours are Tuesday through Friday 10-5 and any other time by appointment only. We are going to try this out for a while to see if I want to keep working in my home or stay in a different location.

*Halloween Day - Bring yourself and your children to the studio in costume and get a free mini session. The prints will be available to purchase at the time of the session. Yes, college students and adults are also welcome.

*Life is backing up, but I promise as soon as I get the studio and the house in order, blogging will be back to normal.

*BE A FOLLOWER - follow my blog publicly by clicking the button on the right. I love to see who has been here.

*I still love comments. Please post your comments. Again, I just love to know what you think of my posts and where you all are from.

Georgia's 6 Month Portraits

These two are my favorites. The one above shows her cute little neck! I just love her neck!

I think Nick should quit farming just to be my assistant. Don't tell him I said that!
