Caddan

I am trying to catch up on my posts, so for the next few days you will be able to see the things that I have done over the past two weeks.

What a cute little boy the Garland's have! Next week I will be photographing the entire Garland family, but this time I was able to spend time with just one of them. We went to the park and played with the ducks and had such a great time.

And that hair...Who can resist that hair.

See all of you next week. I can't wait to meet the other half of the family!

Tucker is Nine Months!

I cannot believe how big Tucker has become! I still imagine him as 3 months old, the first time I met him. Today Tucker and family and I had a great adventure. I was trying to find a great spot between Levelland and Lubbock. I hardly ever photograph on this side of town and I was determined to do it in a cotton field. You would think that being married to a cotton farmer, I would have plenty of options, but all of his fields are on the east side of town. We finally found a place and Tucker looked cute as ever. We even got a few shots of the entire family. Soon, Butch Ratholers will have a custom designed Christmas card. Just check back under Tucker's photos. As for now, here are a few of my favorites of Tucker, the Family and Aunt Anna

Family Recital at the Cactus

Ok, I am really late posting these. The Craig and Glenda Kitten Family had their annual Family Recital at the Cactus theatre. All of those who take voice from Kami Caldwell sing in this end of the year recital, the only thing is, all of the parents have to sing too!

The Kittens sang "We are Family" and Elliot had his very own line. You know the chorus. Yes, every time he would sing "I got all my sista's with me!" They all did so great and Craig even did the splits! I can't wait until next year.

50 Years and Counting

It has taken me quite a while to post these, but I figure maybe if I start posting once a day in the next two weeks I will be all caught up.

I went to Post, Texas to photograph these two wonderful grandparents, 5 kids and 7 grandkids.

We started talking about my being married for 6 weeks and their being married for 50 years and she gave me some great advice that I try to live by. "God first, family second, and your work third. If you live by this everything will work itself out."

Thanks Diann and it was great to meet everyone. I can't wait to see you again for your post-design session.

The Kitten Koloche Kitchen

Sunday the whole family came over and we made Nick's Grandma's family Kolache Recipe. Actually, we make Leslie and Glenda Kolaches because we found out that this whole time we didn't have the right recipe!

The dough recipe was hers, but the filling was a little bit different.

We had so much fun! It was Andi's birthday and we also got to sing to Luke and Janet.

Thanks everyone for letting me have Sunday off. But after being in the kitchen from noon to 11:00 pm and after almost 800 handmade Kolaches, I might need a break from my break!

Shelby and Ky

I have been a little behind on blogging and you will see why after I blog about this weekend!

I photographed Shelby and Ky last Thursday. They will be getting married in December, but don't worry about the weather, because they aren't!

They will be married in Hawaii. What a lucky couple. I know it will be perfect, and perfectly them!

Not once did I have to tell either one of them to smile, because Ky would whisper in Shelby's ear, or Shelby would put her arm around Ky and that is all it took.

Here are a few of my favorites.

Cade's Newborn Photos

Last Friday I went over to LaShawn and Mark's house. Yes, I am aware that this post is late, but that is beside the point.

I tapped on the door, and in new mom form, LaShawn waved me in, Cade in tow. He was sleeping peacefully in her arms. He is such a wonderful baby. I stayed for a long time after the shoot and held him. I think he likes me, if I do say so myself.

I can't wait for our 3 month shoot!

Here are some of my very favorites. To view all of my favorites, Click Here. More will be posted after this sneak peak.

Fun with Photos

We are half way through the second week of classes at Texas Tech. Hopefully my 3310 class understands how to use the most important buttons on their cameras. Tuesday we stepped out of the class and practiced a bit. While they shot stuff, I shot them. I decided to play with the pictures in Photoshop for 30 seconds each to see what I could do.

Here are a few of my students...

First Impressions

I photographed the Church family earlier in the week. I pulled up to one of my favorite places and my jaw dropped. I suddenly remembered that I had not put my cards in my camera! This had never happened before! What were they going to think? What was I going to say?

Well, I said I forgot my cards and I will be right back and the first thing that they thought was "drive safe, don't rush."

This might be one of the nicest families I have ever photographed. Wina Church called me because I photographed her daughter before. If you will remember back in May I taught a photography course and Jessica brought her roommate to be one of the models. Here she is again!

There is big news going on in the church household, from trips to ASU to their everyday fun life. I can't wait for you to come over for your viewing, as for now, here is a sneak peak!
