LaShawn and Cade

I know what you are going to say...Cade is a little hidden in these pictures! But I promise you will be able to see him soon. He should be here on August 21, although there are a few pools that say he will be here earlier. I cannot wait to photograph Cade in the nursery that LaShawn and Mark put together for him. It is absolutely adorable!

The first and last images are my favorite. To see all of the images, ask LaShawn for the password!

Introducing Mrs. Kitty!

Cassie, Me and Amy relaxing Thursday afternoon

I have seen it all. Every type of wedding in every setting, and I would always dream about mine. Well, it finally happened. July 15 I made a promise to Nicholas Kitten, until death do us part. The entire day was wonderful! We left the next day for Playa Del Carmen, Mexico and came back to Lubbock late Saturday.

Thank you all for understanding why your phone calls were not answered! Savant is back up and running and ready to shoot. I haven't even looked at the pictures on my camera from the honeymoon, but I will post them soon. Amy, one of my best friends from High School flew in from Houston and was ready to help so I gave her a crash course in program mode on my camera and she carried it everywhere! The beauty shop on Thursday, dinner, the night out when everyone got here and all day Friday! I can't wait to see what she captured! Here are a few pictures that my friends have e-mailed me. When I look at all of mine, I promise to let you see a few.

Cassie and Anna at Melt Thursday night. I do believe they have the best food in Lubbock. Thanks, Stone!

The engraving on the glasses looked great!

I will post more later!

Susan and Casey Green

What a blessing it is to know this couple! I think that everyone should hear the story of how they met. I have to be honest, it was really hard to do my job today. Between the boys having fun and me crying at the beauty of the day and the love between the couple, it was all I could do to not get lost in the moment. Here are some of my favorites! To view all of their photographs, click here.

Casey and Susan, I will see you next Saturday at your homecoming party, or as some have called it, my wedding!

Savant Photography is booked until August 1

My big day is just around the corner and there are very few days that I will have time to get ready because I have so many photo shoots.

therefore, I will not be shooting any more sittings until August 1st. Please go ahead and book your sitting so that you don't have to worry about your time being filled at the last minute.

Also, if you would like to book me for your wedding, you might want to call or meet with me this week to make sure that it is done before my wedding. I have met with brides for weddings all the way into Spring, 2007. If your wedding is in this time frame and you decide to book with me or someone else, just keep in mind that you will want to book soon before your date is taken.

Also, please start using my cell phone number, 239.3227 instead of the other number, 762.8562. That number will be staying with my house and will become my sister's home phone when I move in with Nick. The messages will get to me, but it will be easier to call the cell.

On a side note, anyone who loves to move and pack is welcome into my home. I am starting to slowly move everything into Nick's house. I figure if I can move everything that I don't need in the next month, I will be ahead of the game after the wedding.

Thank you all for understanding how I want to enjoy this time of my life. Most of my clients have been through it themselves and I appreciate your well wishes and understanding.

After the sittings this week, the next time I shoot, I will be a Kitten! It is sad really. I like my last name and I am the last Simon ever.

Tucker Bryant's Six Month Portraits

For some reason, when I talked to Alex, Tucker's mom, I decided to do studio shots instead of on location. They met me at my house and what a great idea! About ten minutes after we got started, the rain came pouring down!

I think that I am going to keep Tucker's Grandmother on permanent stand by. Not only does she have a great voice, but her singing always makes Tucker smile at just the right moments. I told Alex and Scott that I wanted Tucker to stay with me because he is the most well behaved, cutest baby that I have ever met!

We already have his 9 month portraits scheduled. When he comes to see me next, Leslie Ann Kitten will be photographing him. I can't believe that will be me!

I am going to try to post some of my back dated shoots, including weddings tonight, but I don't know how far I will get. If I have photographed you and you are not on my blog, keep watching, I promise that I will get you on here.

As for now, here's Tucker!

Susan Brumley's Bridals

Yesterday I photographed Susan Brumley. You have seen her engagements (Susan and Casey). Yes, she looked like a model in the engagements, yes, she is straight out of a magazine for her bridals. I was able to meet her mother and her grandmother. What a wonderful family. You will be able to view her bridals after her wedding date of July 8th, 2006.

Speaking of July, my mother and I drove up to Amarillo after my shoot this morning and came back with a wedding dress! I am so excited. My wedding is the weekend after Susan's, so in four weeks you will be calling Leslie Ann Kitten, not Leslie Ann Simon!

It is a great feeling to be on the other side of the wedding day! I can't wait to marry Nick!

Amanda and Trenton

It is always fun to photograph, no matter who or what the subject. But, when you photography to people, when these people are so in love, it is better than ever! Trenton and Amanda make up a couple that I feel sure will be in love forever.

They will be married October 21, 2006 at Jones AT&T Stadium.

Here are a few! I can't wait until the wedding!

Come to my Art Show!

That's right guys! I have an art show! I really hope that you all can come view my work and buy a hundred pieces! Ok, just come and enjoy the wine and cheese and great company. And tell me that you saw it on the blog and I will give you a free notecard with an original print signed by me! On site, no questions asked!

Here is a copy of the flyer.

Light and Dark.

Creation and Destruction.

Masculine and Feminine.

The June First Friday Art Trail at Hard Tops is centered around the idea of complementary opposites. This ancient concept, known to many as Yin and Yang, is the driving theme of our showcase.

The work of two photographers, one male, one female, will be on display. The foundation of the show is the differences of perception that each sees through the lens of their camera, and through the filter of their inherent nature. The Hard Tops Gallery is happy to showcase the work of Leslie Ann Simon and Eric Reins.

You can begin the Trail at the Hard Tops Gallery. Trolleys depart at 6:15 pm. Refreshments will be available. The First Friday Art Trail is centered in the Depot District, and includes 15 venues throughout Lubbock. You can find a map of all the venues at:www.theunderwoodcenter.org/ffatmap.pdf

Susan and Casey

Today I met with my good friends Susan and Casey. They are to be married July 8, 2006. Susan has such great plans for the wedding, I am so excited to see it all. I don't think that Casey cares about anything except for ending up with Susan. They are so cute together!~ Here are some of my favorites...

Amanda Allen

I am behind on posts, so hopefully I can get caught up this week! Amanda is graduating from Coronado in a few weeks and we went out a few weeks ago and had some fun. Not only is she very photogenic, but she is also very talented! She plays the saxophone and the bass clarinet. She is probable one of the last seniors for the year. I hate when this time of year passes because seniors are the most fun ever!

Congratulations, Amanda and congratulations Cathy on having such an exceptional daughter!
